Pole Goals

What happened to those video tutorials?

Ah, yes, the video tutorials. Nice idea, weren’t they? A little fun, a little different, something useful. All good, right?

Except, um, not so much.

Which is to say that until I can rearrange my home such that doing a video is not such a fucking pain, they are going to show up here only randomly. Like when I’m in a particularly frolicsome mood and have eaten a lot of pie.

But, until then, I thought we might do something else …

What? What else could we do?

So glad you asked!

I was thinking, it would be fun to think about our goals in pole dancing – pole goals! And, you know, touch base every other week and see where we are and what’s going on.

I’ll update you here on all the details as I strive to become the hot and luscious pole dancer of my dreams, and you can all share your pole goals in the comments. Or not. Whatever. Feel free to just read what your pole buddies are up to, too – it’s all good. :)

So, ta-da …

My Pole Goals

1. To regain my strength and endurance after the ass-kicking cold I’ve had since getting back from the USPDF. (My last class, I had to stop after WALKING AROUND THE POLE and catch my breath. Seriously. Pathetic as hell, but, really, my lungs were just not getting any oxygen.)

2. To work on my prep exercises to get me back into climbing and – one day soon, I hope! – inverting! I haven’t been climbing or inverting since last summer when my back freaked out and I had to start over at the beginning, and my glorious teacher who specializes in people relearning pole after having been injured, insisted I go back and build a strong foundation. (She rocks!)

So, there you have it – what I’ll be working on over the next two weeks. Now it’s your turn – what are your current pole goals? :)

P.S. Thank you to Sabrina Campagna for the lovely photo!
