3 Tips to Make Sales at Your Pole Studio

Whether you’re selling grip aids, leg warmers, or pole classes, these are the three things every pole studio needs to make sales.

1. Trust

Nobody likes to buy stuff from people they don’t trust.

Of course, it’s only in pole that your customer trusts you enough to let you spot them when they’re hanging upside down, so you’ve already got this point covered. The corollary, though, is whether you trust your products.

Use what you sell or, if you can’t but still like the line (as in, I love these shoes but can’t balance in such a high heel), make sure you have confidence in it.

Remember, good pole products are hard to find outside the pole community, especially if you’re not online. So be a service to your students and share your thoughts with them.

2. Enthusiasm

If you’re excited about a product, your students will be, too. If you like it, let them know you use it. Let them see you apply the grip or wear the gloves. Show off your new pole mats!

Pole dancers love pole toys, so share the fun with your students! If you are selling pole greeting cards, send them to people. If you love your new shorts, shake your booty in class! If you are thrilled with your new stand-alone pole, give everyone a chance to have a spin.

Remember, a pretty display case can’t take the place of the instructor they love sharing some pole joy!

3. Urgency

Human beings are a fickle species. We like to weigh our options but, given too many, can freeze into inaction. (Just think of the last time you wasted 30 minutes trying to choose a movie from Netflix instant stream.)

There’s a reason why “only one left!” and “sale ends tomorrow!” ads work so well – they make us feel we need to act quickly or we’ll miss out. And we will.

So let your students know that you’re taking orders for your new line of pole clothing this week only – sign up during class to get yours! Or that you’ve only got one pair of those Pleasers boots left in stock.

Remember, a little urgency snaps people into action. Give them a reason to finally get that grip or DVD they’ve been wanting!
