Lots of exciting things going on at StudioVeena.com. The amazing Veena, herself, is here to tell us about them!

Tell us about all the new stuff going on at Studio Veena!

As always we have a lot going on at StudioVeena.Com. The most noticeable addition would be our featured bloggers. We are excited to have them with us and find they provide a unique perspective for our StudioVeena.Com members.

I’m also excited to say we now offer more online lessons than ever! I’ve added new routines, such as Pole Strength, and two Stretching for the Splits routines! These are great because the user can simply follow along as I guide them through the entire routine. The new routines are all about 20 -25 minutes long. The Foam Roller Lessons section is a new addition as well. In addition to all the above, I have also added new pole conditioning exercises and stretches. Beyond this, we’ve really set ourselves a goal of exploring how we can work closely with others in the pole community. We want share what we’ve learned and hopefully learn from others, we’d really like to start building more partnerships and grow together with others who’ve found success in this community.

When do you have the video chats?

The chat room is open 24-7. Friday is “Pole Chat” day. This tends to be the busiest day of the week for our chat room. TGIF!

What is your biggest struggle as a pole dancer?

Finding new ways to challenge myself. It can be difficult to “light a fire” under your own behind!! I believe if we focus on the same goals each time we practice, such as only learning new tricks, it limits our ability to grow. As long as I’m able to pole, I hope to continue growing in some way, even if its not physical growth. Pole is emotionally and mentally challenging as well, right?

Favorite music to pole dance to:

My favorite is always changing! I find music choice depends on mood or energy level at the time. I can’t bring myself to practice without music that inspires me. Music is what drives the soul to dance!

Outdoor Pole Dancing with StudioVeena.com

Weirdest place you’ve ever poled:

It wasn’t a pole, but while in NY for the USPDF competition, I took the opportunity to … we’ll say “Gemini the Bull” outside the Merryl Lynch building on Wall Street!

Pre-performance rituals:

None.

Strangest pole dancing question/comment you’ve ever received:

The weirdos always show up on Youtube. I have had marriage proposals and comments, both good and bad, about various body parts! A popular question is “how do you do hold your body in the air?”

What do you like to do when you’re not pole dancing?

I love playing outside with my kids! I also enjoy camping, hula hooping, cooking, baking, and all things crafty! Recently, I have started to explore the production side of video more, as well. I find I like the challenge of being the one both in front of and behind the camera!

For a great variety in online lessons, plus a warm and welcoming pole community, be sure to visit StudioVeena.com!

Wonderful interview! Veena’s the best! I’m so happy to have lived near her this past year and gotten to know her and her family. She is one of the most genuinely “down to earth” and kind people I’ve met in the pole world. I’m happy to call her a friend as well as my pole instructor/trainer–she cares so much about the site and its members. StudioVeena is such a great resource and community. xx
