Platinum Stages UK

Brett Golding of Platinum Stages UK gives the scoop on bringing Platinum Stages to the UK and Europe!
Platinum Stages is coming to the UK – tell us all about it!
The demand throughout Europe for a quality fitness pole has been getting bigger and bigger to where people were paying astronomical rates for shipping from the US. Platinum Stages, the innovator and largest manufacturer of poles in the world since 2001, decided to open a complete, functional warehouse in the UK in 2011, which opened in March 2012. The UK was a natural fit for our second largest operation because of the demand it was already receiving from the US warehouse. The UK pole fitness industry was booming and polers were demanding more from their products, such as stainless steel and brass and a wide variety of products.
We never coat our poles with anything – there are too many people allergic to nickel and we didn’t want our customers compromised with allergic reactions to our products. Stainless steel and brass are very expensive to manufacture, but our customers and the industry are worth it. Platinum Stages’ bestseller is the Star Stand Alone, by far a better, less expense option for all free standing pole enthusiasts; we look forward to everyone putting it to the test.
You also have your own grip aid. How does it work and where can we get it?
Platinum Grip is our liquid gripping solution. It enhances your workout/practice by repelling moisture and sweat from your hands to increase your pole grip for longer and better workouts. It is available in one or two ounce bottles and you can purchase it online at Platinum Stages UK or by calling 0800 520 0454.
What’s new with Platinum Stages poles?
Platinum Stages is always thinking of new and exciting products for the pole dancing industry. We have several products in the development pipeline. Along with our Light Up base for the Star Stand Alone, we have the newest line of poles, the Competition Line, which was released in May. It provides a stronger, taller option for world competitions and studios alike and is available in brass and stainless at 50mm, 45mm, and the new 38mm.
Who is your hero or role model?
Our heroes are our customers who use pole dancing as a form of fitness to better themselves and their self-confidence. Pole dancing is a sport tainted with a bad reputation and it is now being considered as a serious sport. This is due to the sheer will and determination of every single pole fitness enthusiast out there who uses pole dancing to better themselves, despite the stigma that may be attached to the sport.
What are your favourite words of encouragement?
A wise man once said an error does not become a mistake until you refuse to correct it.
We apply this philosophy to our company and to our customers. We welcome criticism and aim to constantly correct our errors and improve our operation for our customers.
Anything else you’d like to share?
We are just really excited to be operating in the UK and look forward to meeting all of our customers and fellow pole dancers at the up and coming shows. We are planning to attend several in the UK and across Europe.
