We pole dancers may all dream of pole dancing, but Rashida may be the only one among us who actually got into pole because of a dream! Rashida Hobbs runs Pole’iticians and has been nominated for the PoleSkivivies Make a Difference Award. Through her teaching, Rashida focuses on empowerment, a topic she also explores in her book, From Loss to Being Boss – How a POLE Saved My Life. Rashida is actively involved with several non-profit organiations, including the Tom Joyner Foundation benefitting students in financial need. You may know Amy as a stunning, professional pole dancer, but now she has been nominated for the Make a Difference Award, due to her dedication to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society and Team in Training. Learn why this charity is so important to her – and how she managed to raise $14,200 for Team in Training by doing their Iron Man triathlon. You can even sponsor a mile of her journey!

Bel Jeremiah of Twirly Girls Pole Fitness Studio
Bel Jeremiah has been nominated for the PoleSkivvies Make a Difference Award. She has created a fundraiser to support kidney disease research, in honor of one of her students who has had kidney transplants. She has also gone the extra mile to learn techniques and methods to support deaf students in their desire to learn to pole.

Ken Menconi – Supporting Safety on the Pole
Ken Menconi may not pole dance, but he avidly supports his friends and family who do. Learn how he gets involved in pole – and all about his support of the Pole to Peak Fund! Moved by the story of Debbie Plowman, Ken wanted to use his professional experience in safety and risk management to promote safety on the pole. He also works to raise funds for spinal injury research.
